Don’t Open the Oven by E.D. Black
Between Spice X, Kathy Cakes, and some delicious sounding treats, you'll have a great time reading "Don't Open the Oven" (Fright Factory series) by E.D. Black. As a millennial, I enjoyed the nostalgic references; every one I spotted made me smile! But kids would love this too. I love reality TV and anything baking competition so it was a highly interesting subject matter and E.D. Black does a good job of keeping the writing fresh.
At around 130 pages, "Don't Open the Oven" is the perfect snack-size story that keeps the action flowing like a piping bag full of frosting. I'll leave it to you to find out if the ending is sweet or not ...but I'll tell you that I enjoyed it! Don't forget your milk and fork!
